The POLISHED stainless VELONA60 8000rpm tachometer is a versatile and compact gauge, perfect for custom motorcycle builds or as a replacement for existing meters. The tachometer has digital working functions that swing into action quickly, and the analogue style gauge face compliments modern and classic bike builds. Can be fitted as sold or use it in the CEV replica headlights.

A neatly placed inbuilt LCD screen keeps an eye on essential functions such as max RPM memory & recall, max Temp memory and recall (when adding the temp sensor sold separately), and a 12H clock on the LCD completes the dial. These features add to the clean and minimal layout. To finish off, you get modern LED back lighting that outshines your old dull OEM gauge set. Combine all these features and this gauge ticks all the right boxes making it one of the most popular tachometers available for garage builders and professional custom bike builders alike.

TACHO OPTIONAL PARTS

Example optional parts:

+ 98641, Tachometer option harness. Electrical noise is reduced when connecting to the pulse line - (1 MΩ).
+ 92333, RPM pulse rectifier. Use in cases that rpm pulse cannot be detected well, or rpm signal is unstable. (old bike models etc.)
+ 84851, Temperature sensor (TI), 1/8" thread with external cable. With connector.
+ 80228, Temperature sensor (TII), for (VELONA), 1/8" thread, external wire, with bullet connectors.
+ 85020 & 85018, Oil temp sensor fittings(sump drain type) M12 & M14 (mm).

We also have a range of anti-vibration type stays, & combinations stays that are anti vibe and combine the ALPHA or BETA instrument lights together, two types of dual fitting stays for the SR400/500 and XS650 models to combine the speedo and Tacho together (found within the SR400 parts page). Although they are for the SR, they are often adapted to another model where suitable to do so. If keen to mount within the CEV headlights see the U bracket designed for use with teh VELONA gauges. To scroll the LCD screen, see the CNC machined toggle switches or use the rear set and mode buttons on the gauge housing.

We cannot respond to the suitability of each and every model for universal products. Please see the above specs and details for the PPR range. However, known models this gauge has been fitted to successfully are below, some may require special wiring or add-ons to function etc.

FAQ:
- Q: Do we sell a matching Speedometer for this Tachometer?
- A: Yes, please see part number 85833 for the polished 200km/h Speedo.

- Q: Do we sell tachometers as a dedicated "bolt on" / "plug & play" bike model kit?
- A: Yes, however only in the 9000rpm range and only in black. We offer the gauge kits for the Honda range, as a bolt on dedicated kit. Available for the 1. Honda CL500 (SCL) standard bar set up & for use with the Daytona Aero visor, 2. Honda Rebel250/500 (CMX500), 3. Honda GB350 (known as the CB in some markets). See the bike model parts sections for relivant details for each model.

EXTRA INFO:
1. -> A pulse signal can be picked up from the ignition coil (preferred 4 stroke method) or by wrapping the HT lead. In some cases the tacho line from the ECU Tacho wire is able to be utilised (where applicable), such as modern Honda range. If the bike has CDI-or TCI ignition, generally the tachometer can be mounted regardless of the engine type or displacement after setting the PPR (pulse per revolution setting).

2. -> On certain models the aid of a 92333 pulse rectifier may be required when a pulse signal cannot be obtained. This part is only needed in rare cases or if your bike is quite old and never had a tachometer etc.

3. -> This gauge can be wired to many bike models; and is tried and tested for quite a few years, however, some makes and models are not compatible or needed a resister to smooth out the electical noise their bikes emmit. Or require special installation is required as the may have excessive electrical noise due to stripped back ignitions systems, certain coils or caps etc. In such cases see the tachometer 98641 optional harness, or 92333 pulse rectifier in our gauge accessories pages. See info at links provided. 

4. -> Not suitable for 6v models, or bikes converted from 6v to 12v. It is also *not suitable for use with battery lessers or bikes with highly stripped back modified race type ignition systems.
