The Daytona Black classic 140km/h mechanical gauge revived for custom builds and older models for customer who prefer to run mechanical meters. DAYTONA revived the popular classic panel design on their long time selling mechanical speedometers and updated it with an all-black finish to fit with customers’ requirements for modern custom build styles.
The gauge features an LED backlit dial which makes viewing clear and visible during daytime and nighttime rides. The dial has easy-to-read Odometer and Trip meter to keep track of Km’s ridden, and warning indicators are built in. The dash lights included are, High beam, Neutral, Hydraulic/Oil, and Turn signals lamps. (Or you can wire as you like).
Installation is straight forward with the supplied instructions, however if unsure about the wiring you should have a shop wire the gauge for you. Speedo uses a M12 fitting for use of the factory speedo cable. Great for use on your older classic Japanese custom where a clean minimal no fuss gauge is desired.

NOTES:
1. This meter is not supplied with a bracket. *Please order an anti-vibe stay separately or for SR models match with the Tachometer and fit to a dual meter stays we offer. Or fit as you like on your own bracket.
2. This meter is not completely waterproof. It is water resistant just like most factory gauges. If it gets condensation after rain, let the gauge dry out in the sun.
3. This product is for 12V vehicles only. (LED type is for DC power supply only).
4. The wiring of the harness must be processed to match the bike. Please prepare the terminals such as bullet terminals separately.
5. The speedometer has a gear ratio of "60km / h = 1400rpm" (K=1:4) that ratio corresponds to many domestic (Japanese bikes) that are (mechanical models) that corresponds to SR400 /SR500 / XS650, TW200/225. Honda CB of various year models, older GB400/500 etc. etc. and, it also suits some Triumph models and many other Honda and Kawasaki models. However, models with other gear ratios are not compatible. We have a known list of compatible bikes, but cannot answer usage about every bike made, please check your speedo drive ratio prior.
6. The speedometer and tachometer are subject to the internal construction and dial colour differences. There may be slight difference in the luminous state (slightly noticeable at night).
7. *The meter cable (speedo cable) is considered a consumable item. If the outer tube has cracks or been damaged, moisture, oil, or dust can enter the inside of the meter, causing malfunction. When replacing the gauge, always inspect the meter cable at the same time and replace it with a new one if necessary.
FAQ:
Q: Do we sell a matching tachometer for the speedometer?
A: Yes, we have a matching tachometer. See the tachometer section for details of the 12,000rpm matching tachometer.
Q: When fitting to the SR400/500, TW200/225 etc., are there any considerations when wiring this gauge?
A: In general, this is a plug and play unit. However, it is common to experience some voltage leak back when indicators are switched to the on position on the SR400/500 (85-93) models &.TW200 (up to 1999).
Bikes with a single bulb turn signal indicator lamps (dash warning light), where the indicator lamp (dash light) and turn signal (on the opposite side to use) illuminate simultaneously, or flicker, - will require modification to the wiring of the turn signal indicator assembly / circuit to direct current to the side in use only. In short, a diode can be installed, or we recommend fitting the Daytona harness kit 69563 sold separately. This voltage leak can also happen on later model bikes in some circumstances depending on the turn signals used or other wiring within the circuit.
