DAYTONA YAMAHA PULSE CONVERTER, DRUM, 18mm INSERT, 87041
The Daytona Speed Pulse Converter J1 (18mm Dia. insert type) is designed for use with Daytona VELONA gauges, Daytona original electrical gauges, DEVA-01, and the Daytona CUBE. The 18mm insert size is primarily used on the SR400/500, XS650 and other classic Yamaha models such as the RD350/400 equipped with drum brake insert type speed drives and other classics with this size fitting.
The 18mm fitting has a durable machined alloy body, square drive centre cable fitting and an O-ring for installation. To install, remove the factory speedo cable, cleanout the hole, grease the O-ring and drive fitting, and reinsert it into the cable hole. Secure it in place with the factory cable clip.
The speed pulse converter transforms the mechanical speedo cable movement into an electrical pulse signal. On models such as the SR400/500 with a front drum brake, it provides an easy and neat upgrade to an electrical gauge. With a wire length of approximately 1800 mm, it has sufficient length for routing up the fork leg. The wires come pre-fitted with bullet connectors (c 104 type).

NOTE:
These sensors are a three-wire type and not compatible with two wire feeds used on other gauges. (sensor is NEG switching). Always check the details and specs for compatibility. Use with Daytona and Daytona VELONA electrical gauges.
