DAYTONA - TACHOMETER "PULSE SIGNAL GENERATOR", 92333
The Daytona 92333-engine speed signal generator may be required when fitting a rev counter - (tachometer) to bikes where a pulse signal cannot be picked up from the ignition coil or crankshaft position sensor, or where excessive noise prevents accurate detection of pulse signals and creates the tachometer needle to be unstable.
When working on older models or custom builds, or bikes with old ignition systems there may be a situation where the pulse signal is absent, or the pulse signal is poor (e.g.: electrical noise or has too much interference etc.). If you are unable to obtain a signal or a clean signal from the ignition coil, ECU or crank position sensor, or the bikes pulse signal is too noisy to pick up a pulse signal accurately, then this pulse generator may assist you to overcomes problematic hook up of VELONA electrical Tachometers.
The pulse generator is very easy to install by laying the signal wire on the HT lead for approx. 30-40mm and then securing in place with electrical tape. This easily allows for a cleaner pulse signal without fuss or complicated wiring. Made in Japan

Q: Is a wiring diagram supplied?
A: Yes, we have provided an English wiring diagram. (*English and Japanese guides are supplied with the product when purchased - updated March 2026).
Q: Can this product also be used with VELONA Speedometers?
A: NO. This product is used for RPM pulse ONLY! (Tachometer use only).
ATTENTION:
-> For genuine type spark plug HT leads only.
-> For resistor plugs (with built-in resistor) only.
-> For single-cylinder vehicles up to 400cc.
-> Please secure the brown input wire along the spark plug wire (HT lead) using insulating tape for a length of 30–40 mm only. Under no circumstances should the brown input wire be folded back or bundled. Furthermore, do not wrap it around the spark plug wire (HT lead), as this will damage the circuitry on the board.
CAUTIONS:
* Not compatible with vehicles using contact-point ignition systems.
* Not compatible with vehicles using a 6V battery or 12V AC system.
* Not compatible with battery-less vehicles.
* Not compatible with vehicles fitted with racing spark plugs.
* Not compatible with vehicles fitted with aftermarket performance spark plug HT leads (silicone spark plug leads), as many silicon HT leads (not all) are noise-shielded, meaning the signal cannot be detected.
*Not compatible with vehicles fitted with aftermarket racing ignition coils (including high output types).
*Depending on the vehicle type, ignition type and age, or bike modifications it may not be possible to detect the engine ignition signal even when using this product, likewise, there may be vehicles that do not require this product. Generally speaking, it is used only on models where no rpm signal (or clean signal) can be detected.
