POSH SR400/SR500 (4/85~00) LONG BRAKE CABLE, +100mm, 010111-B1
The POSH +100mm (long) length brake cable suits all SR models (5/85~00) using the factory front drum brake. Fits the SR400/500 models requiring longer cables such as those with custom (non genuine) bars, Tracker bars, Scrambler bars. The long length brake cable is also often used with standard / factory bars (on the early 78~82 factory "wide bar") where a drum brake conversion has been done.
DETAILS: Cable outer is black, inner wire is stainless. Supplied with a genuine Yamaha lever cover boot. Made in Japan. All POSH cables use stainless wires for longevity and use factory correct end fittings. Ease of fitment is ensured and is the same process as changing a genuine cable. As the original cable is not long enough for certain handlebars, use this cable to enable use of a wider range of bars.
NOTE: Cables should be lubed at time of fitment. Fitting should be carried out by a qualified experienced mechanic's as per the factory workshop manual. Cables should always be tested before use on road to ensure the return function is uninhibited and cables have correct free play adjustment. Changing any component on your brake system requires a very high level of experience and skill. This cable should only be fitted by a licensed qualified mechanic in licensed workshop.
