DAYTONA VELONA TACHOMETER "RPM INDUCTION WIRE SET", 87170. Made in Japan.

For easy detection of RPM pulse connecting to spark plug wire or to ignition coil. Use for repair or replacement with VELONA gauges. This pre-made induction wire set allows you to connect VELONA and Daytona electrical gauges (and others) to a signal output from the positive of the coil or use the wrapping of the HT lead as an alternative (or for 2 stroke models).

Quick, clean and easy to install!

INCLUDED:
+ 1 x wire (harness) set for use as an interrupt wire (when wiring electrical tachometer to the coil) typical method for 4 stroke engines.
+ 1 x wire (harness) wrap, typically used on 2 stroke applications (wraps around HT lead).

-> Example below shows the four-stroke preferred method.

NOTE: 
As this is a universal product, there are situations where the harness set will not operate or properly connect to all applications (due to coil terminal size and connector type etc.). If in doubt speak with us or your selling dealer. Wrap type can also be used on 4 stroke applications if unable to use interrupt wire or ECU connect. However, wrapping is usually for 2 strokes, but it can work fine on both on many models.

ATTENTION: 
1. Do not connect the interrupt wire harness to anything other than the pulse line of the tachometer.
2. The wiring color for the pulse input wire may differ for each meter (gauge) model. 
3. Please refer to the gauges instruction manual when wiring to ensure you are connecting to the correct wire (pulse wire).
4. Take care if fitting to high output coils, only ever work with the battery disconnected and with your workshop manual as a guide.
