W650 {"04-08"} THROTTLE CABLE SET, -100MM "SHORT" CLIP ON BAR SPEC, W65010ST-AC

The W650 "Clip on spec" throttle cables are for the Kawasaki W650 (2004-2008 model). The -100mm short is referenced as -100mm compared to the low bar spec cable (not high bar). To simplify the details, these cables are for clip-on bar conversions or very low clubman type bars. To ensure suitability see the length information below. So, it makes no difference if you are converting a low bar bike or high bar model, these cables will suit your clip-on bar needs (in most cases except clip on bars with risers or ones that sit above the top bridge!).

When changing handlebars to the clip-on bars such as the Peyton Place stainless clip-on bars, or very low bars such as clubman bars, these throttle cables are an essential item to avoid unsightly and dangerous cable overhang.

You can combine these cables with our separately available short clip-on bar spec "clutch cable" and our short clip-on bar spec "brake line", allowing you to finish your bikes low bar or custom bar conversion like a pro!

Approx. overall outer case + fitting length is: 930mm for cable A

* Measured end to end length including metal fittings, (but does not include or quote inner wire length!). This is laid flat, if you add for the arch of the bends, it adds a cm.

NOTE:
1. For installation, you will need to remove the throttle body assy (switch). Cables should be lubed and adjusted correctly at time of fitment while apart.
2. Fitting should be carried out by a qualified mechanic as per the factory workshop manual.     
3. Cables should always be tested before use on road to ensure the return function is uninhibited and cables have correctly adjusted free play.

4. Images above are exactly like the cables sold here. However, the clip-on bar type cables do not have the small cable clip that is shown in the above image. This clip makes no difference in function when installing clip-on bar length cables.

FAQ:
Q: What's the difference between "low bars spec" throttle cables and the "short -100mm clip-on bars spec" cables?
A: There is no difference in terms of fittings and inner cable free length etc. the cables are made to OEM spec in that regard. The main difference is these cables are made for use with clip-on bars and therefore they are made shorter than low bar cables to best fit clip-on bar use! *Also, the clip-on bar type cables do not have the small cable clip shown in the above image.

Q: What brake line suits the "low bars spec" conversion?
A: The 750mm D spec line (#60593) suits clip-on bar conversions. *However, if your clip-on bars use a riser and sit well above the top clamp, also consider the 800mm (60594) or 850mm D Spec line (60595).The same can be said for clutch and throttle cables (if your clip-on bars sit well above top yoke, consider low bar spec cables).
