The GOODS CO. LTD. (Osaka Japan) - SR400/500 custom seat is an iconic SR400/500 seat that is well known throughout Japan and has been a favorite for SR builders for nearly 20 years. The design recreates the atmosphere of a 70’s Tracker / Scrambler style seat that was popular in Japan through the 90's and early 2000's and now once again! Its design is at home on a Street tracker, Vintage Tracker and Cafe racer - making this a versatile seat usable on many SR creations, it will adapt as you change your bikes style or blend into your specific design.
The base is thick fiberglass and is fitted with lugs so your factory seat dampers can be attached to the base for added comfort and security. The seats top side uses memory foam that has been hand shaped. The seat is firm, although it is lowered by approx. 50mm compared to the factory seat. The shape has been slimmed down with styling in mind and is only 530mm long (making it a semi double or single if you are larger build). No pillion strap is fitted, so if riding two up you can add a rear SR grab rail.

FAQ:
Q: I don't have a factory seat, my original dampers are missing, what is the part number for the dampers?
A: Genuine Part No.2J2-24724-01. There are also aftermarket dampers available (G3-00081).
INSTALLATION EXTRA INFO:
+ The SR400/500 (78~79) models require the rear seat frame bridge removal from the frame.
+ The SR400 (80~08) & SR500 (80~99) models is a direct bolt on fit.
+ The SR400/500 (2010~17) requires installation kit 75652 - purchased separately
+ The tandem (pillion) belt is NOT included. As the seat is short, two up is tight. We suggest adding a rear grab rail if wanting a passenger
+ Although the seat is waterproofed due to welded seams, there are cases where water may seep into the seat seams due to stitching treatment and design. This is normal with most seats including factory seats. Just let it dry in the sun or if parking in rain / wet conditions use a seat cover when parked or washing the bike.
