Q: Do I need longer cables and brake line on my W800?
A: Yes, you will need to use longer cables and brake line on your W800. See below.
1. 043011-CL: POSH long Clutch cable - (+150mm L)
2. 043011-AC: POSH long Throttle cables - (+150mm L)
3. 60598: DAYTONA High Spec Stainless Brake line - (D spec - 1000mm L).
*You can also use the W650 early model (High Bar) factory brake line as an alternative. However, we recommend the Daytona High Spec line for improved performance.
Q: Can I use this bar on my W650?
A: The W800 W1 style bar can be used on the W650, but only if you purchase the shims sold separately.
Q: I don't have a W800, can I use this bar on my bike that has 22.2mm (7/8”) bars?
A: It is possible to use this bar as a universal / general use 22.2mm bar. Consider the predrilled switch holes, narrow clamp area and consider if you need longer cables or brake line etc. Generally, the switch location holes will be covered over by most bike model switches. So yes it is a popular option due to the narrow clamp and pull back, and is often used on new and old Triumphs, SR400/500 and TW200 models just to name a few.
OTHER INFO:
-> Switch locator is drilled so bars are completely made for W800 bolt-on.
-> Throttle and clutch cables need to be changed to long specifications separately.
-> The brake hose need to be changed to long specifications separately or requires use of the W650 factory 99-00 High bar specification and use of the W650 rubber hose clamp.
-> The wiring harness needs to be rerouted due to extra height of the W1 style bar.
-> W800 ('2020 ~) bars cannot be installed on the 2020 onwards models.
