Daytona's "Classic engine pipe guard" for the W650 and W800 is constructed from Φ28.6mm steel pipe for enhanced durability. The layout is designed to protect both the engine, exhaust and the rider during minor falls, such as tip-overs while stationary or parked, all while minimizing the guard's overall size and overhang. By maintaining a gap between the motorcycle and the road, it also helps prevent the rider from becoming pinned under the bike during an accident (sliding) or minor fall etc.
The guard features a weather-resistant gloss black finish that matches the W650/W800 frame. Additionally, the piping serves as a versatile mounting point for accessories such as fog lights, driving lights, or cameras. Due to its minimal size, these engine protection pipe guards can also be used on custom builds without impacting on styling, and they can add to bike if building a Scrambler or Dirt Tracker inspired bike!

*Based on use with the standard exhaust or with exhaust that have similar positioning to the factory head pipes. See image of head pipe to engine guard to see clearance. Guard has been fitted with various aftermarket pipes but be aware that some pipes with larger pipe size or different positing may come in contact with the engine guard if they sit more forward than stock.
PROTECTION IN THE EVENT OF FALLS:
If you accidentally fall, the engine guard will touch the ground first, helping prevent your legs from getting trapped. Although it's designed to be compact with minimal protrusion, during minor accidents, both the engine guard and part of the vehicle body can contact the ground, providing space to keep your body safe.
ENGINE PROTECTION:
During small falls, the guard helps shield the crankcase area, reducing potential engine damage and helping avoid situations where a cracked crankcase leaves your vehicle unusable. If you add nylon resin slider it can further help disperse impacts and enhances the look of the steel pipe, combining style with functionality. By avoiding bike damage & protecting the frame, you also preserve the value of your vehicle.

*Note: resin pads (reduction sliders) are not supplied but can be added separately by request (if in stock).
ATTENTION:
1. Not compatible with all non-genuine mufflers, as there may be interfere with the engine guard. Please check your exhaust if you are using a custom system prior to confirm fit.
2. Severe falls may damage the product.
3. Since this product is painted black (gloss black), the paint may chip due to heavy stone chips or if protective covers that are unsecured when storing the motorcycle rub and scratch the finish etc.
4. The leaning angle (of your bike) may decrease slightly compared to original. Please take note and get used to the engine guard being fitted before leaning into corners excessively.
-> In the event of hard fall or accident, the product may be damaged or scratched if the impact is harsh. However, spare parts are available for repairs so there will not be a need to replace the entire kit (LH / RH pipes sold separately, Hardware sold separately - for repairs).
