DAYTONA 140km/h (MPH), "VELONA48", BLACK SPEEDOMETER, 3 COLOUR BACKLIGHT, (C.E.) & E MARKED, 44196
The Daytona 140kmh (mph) VELONA48 is a compact 48mm (Dia.) Speedometer made by Daytona Japan with CE approval and E marking. The VELONA48 features a three colour (changeable) back light, so you can easily select between White, Orange or Blue LED backlighting to suit your preference. The LCD screen shows Odometer, Trip 1, Trip 2, Max speed and a Voltmeter.
The gauge is finished in an all-black theme to integrate easily to custom builds and to sit alongside with OEM gauges, this colour option maintains a discreet stealth appearance. Due to its small size this gauge is often used on custom builds where a Speedo is required but needs to be installed discreetly. Finish is a durable Satin Black on the body and the rim.
And just to ensure owners in all regions can use this gauge safely, the speed setting is selectable between Km/h and Mph.
NOTE: This gauge does not come with a stay (bracket), however, it is compatible with the range of optional parts such as the separately sold anti-vibe type gauge stays, Daytona CNC machined toggle switches and our range of LED dash lights. The VELONA48 can also be mounted with the anti-vibe "combination stay kit" which is mounted in combination with the Gamma, Alpha and Beta LED lights. These great optional add on parts can all be purchased separately if required.

EXTRA INFO:
1. -> *If the bike has a standard electronic signal for speed, this speedometer can be connected to this original electronic impulse in most cases (but not all). eg: W650, & many Harley models etc. etc. Please see notes regarding Can Bus below.
2. -> *If the bike is not equipped with a standard electronic signal for speed, please purchase and use the active Daytona sensor (#87038) or one of the model specific DAYTONA pulse sensors. We stock sensors for popular models such as the SR400/500, Modern Triumphs, Classic BMW's and more! (find sensor within the gauge accessories page here).
3. -> *This gauge is not suitable for 6-volt use (& many 6volt to 12v conversions). It is also *NOT suitable for use with battery-lessers or bikes with modified race type ignition systems.
4. ->*If your particular bike suffers from excessive electrical noise in the system, and your gauge has an unstable needle (or is an older model), the use of the DAYTONA Speedometer "Optional Harness" 98642 can in certain circumstances aid in stabilisation of the dial and function.
5. ->*This gauge comes with Japanese packaging and English instructions. As the 140km/h is now only readily available through the Japanese domestic parts dept. it is sold as per the Japan specification, meaning there is NO gauge stay or add on wiring (as seen in the 200km/h version of this gauge). However, we have stays available separately as an add on item, and when bought with gauge they are discounted as a combined set.

Q: Do we sell a matching tachometer for this speedo?

Q: Can I use this gauge on 6-volt bikes?
A: No, this product is for 12v use only.
Q: Can I mount this gauge directly to the engine or bracket attached to the engine?
A: It is not recommended, as excessive vibrations and heat can damage the gauges internals. Warranty will be void for mounting gauges in this manner.
Q: Are instructions included?
A: Yes, English instructions are included, and you can see the guides in our main image selection.
Q: Can I fit this to a 2009~ onwards Triumph with Can Bus or a HD model with Can Bus systems.
A: In short yes, however, it is widely known that Tri models & HD models with C/Bus will or can need the use of a third-party control module to facilitate the Can Bus system. On some models, if you are bypassing when doing extensive custom wiring you may have work arounds available depending on the bike model.
Please note, we do not offer third party controllers for Can Bus, and we cannot give you step by step details. On such models if unfamiliar with wiring and requirements, please talk to your bike builder.
ATTENTION:
This gauge’s part number has changed from part number 87383. However, the kit is the same as pictured. The difference is the 44196 is the Japanese market version so the packaging is in Japanese, and there is no gauge stay or add on wiring. The English instructions are included, so the only difference will be the packaging.
