Product Overview

DAYTONA SR400/500 LOWERING SPRINGS - FRONT - 95034.

Product features:

The Daytona low down springs are used to lower the front stance of your bike. Typically they are installed in combination with short rear shocks (of approx. 280mm shock length). Or with Café racers using stock 320mm rear shocks that want to lower the front end for performance. The springs are suitable for the SR400/500 and SR400FI. These high quality springs are a progressive wound springs and have been specifically developed for the SR400/SR500. Unlike cutting springs (short) as is commonly done, the DAYTONA springs have been repeatedly tested on the DAYTONA test circuit (actual running tests) & DAYTONA have narrowed down what they consider to be the optimal spring characteristics in a low down option. Please see the product YouTube clips below.

The lowered springs retain characteristics similar to the full length springs but with a lowered position ("unlike when you modify and cut full length springs"). The springs obtain the necessary maximum load despite the 25 - 30 mm reduction in height, so initial sag issues are not a problem as is the case with cutting springs. This means movement through the entire fork stroke allows for comfort as well as improved performance.

Includes the 17 mm Hex tool required for some models (pre 85 and after 94) to disassemble the front fork (non-air fork models). Air fork models will not use this tool.

Details:

  • Free length: 485mm, outer diameter φ24.8
  • Instructions included: Japanese and English
  • Made in Japan to ensure quality is maintained

Lowering:

  • '85/ 93 & 94/ 00: Approximately 30 mm down
  • Year '01 ~ 16: about 25mm down

NOTE: Changing the suspension of your bike requires a level of skill. We recommend set up is done by professionals or those highly familiar with suspension changes. This product has a slightly lower spring rate than the genuine front fork spring, so the ride quality is softer. *When this product is installed alone, it is not necessary to replace the side stand, however, the angle of inclination will be reduced when parking, so be careful about the parking position of your bike so as to avoid falls. We recommend changing in combination with the short side stand when lowered rear shocks are fitted.
