CF POSH SR400/500, 1997 - 2000, MAIN HARNESS, 839400
The CF POSH replacement main wiring harness allows you to easily overhaul and restore the electric's main harness on your 1997 to 2000 SR400 and 1997 to 1999 SR500 models (Japanese sold bikes), AKA a grey import in Australia and elsewhere. For several years the OEM harness has been discontinued, making the options for restoration extremely expensive with one off harnesses, or trying to repair your old broken-down harness. Now with this high-quality Japanese made replacement, restoration is easily achieved.
*When purchased from VANEM you will receive a copy of the factory wiring diagram in *English & Japanese. English wiring diagrams for this model are not readily available, so we have made a full translation available to our customers only!
COMPATIBLE MODELS:
-> Yamaha SR400 ~97 SR400 (3HT8) TO ~2000 (3HTB)
-> Yamaha SR500 ~97 SR500 (3GW7) TO ~1999 (3GW9)
REPLACES OEM:
-> Replaces genuine part number: 3GW-82590-40 & 3GW-82590-41
NOTES:
-> Due to the age of the year models listed here abov1 or 2 couplers were no longer available. Therefore, a non-locking coupler was used on one coupler, and there may be one that is a different colour to factory. This does not affect the operation in anyway.
-> The battery harness with coupler (that fits the small OEM battery with fuse) is not included, we have it available separately. You can select between the plug and play options (battery coupler with wiring and fuse), or just buy the battery coupler with fuse and terminals for a DIY option.

OPTIONAL PARTS:
If you need a new CDI unit, we sell CF POSH units compatible with this harness. Also available are High Performance replacement coils and EVO racing coils. If you need flasher relays or additional wiring and terminals and connectors to repair the bike side components, search our universal electrical parts section. ATTENTION:
*Please note, fitting of electrical related items should be done with great care. Make sure you insulate and exposed wires on related plug-in parts, make sure the harness is secured in the factory location and won't be damaged by chaffing or moving parts. If in doubt, always seek professional help!
*Also, always check your bikes year model correctly to ensure this part will be compatible. Yamaha wiring harnesses have a yellow tag with the above listed parts number on them (3GW-82590-40 & 3GW-82590-41). Always check the part number where possible to do so. Imports can at times have the incorrect year of manufacture on the paperwork or the running gear has been changed, if in doubt double check your bikes details. Typically for this harness you may find it has a 3GW-10 CDI unit (among others).
