Product Overview
W650 (99-08), "LOW BAR SPEC" - CLUTCH CABLE, 139032-CL
The W650 (99-08),"LOW BAR SPEC", clutch cable is an excellent choice for custom motorcycle builds based on the Kawasaki W650 wanting to use low bars or custom bars. Outside of Japan in most regions the W650 was only offered with high bars from (99~00), however in Japan there was an option for a low bar spec W650 or a high bar spec W650. For owners of the High bar models, it is common to change the bars to low bars or custom bars to improve aesthetic and comfort.
When changing handlebars to the lower custom bars such as the POSH Touring bars, POSH Conti bars (or similar bars), these throttle cables are an essential item to avoid unsightly and dangerous cable overhang with lowered or narrowed bars!
With stainless steel inner wire and a durable black outer casing being used, both performance and aesthetics are catered to. Made in Japan, these cables meet high manufacturing standards and are OEM equivalent, making them a reliable replacement in the shorter length you need with lower custom bars. And when you combine these cables with our separately available low bar spec "throttle cables" and correct low bar spec Daytona stainless "brake line" you will finish your bikes low bar or custom bar conversion like a pro!

FAQ:
Q: What's the difference between 99-03 "low bars spec" clutch cables and the 04-08 "low bars spec" cable?
A: There is no real difference at all. The 04~08 type cables have a slightly extended outer PVC covering and cable outers by 10mm compared to the older 00~03 cables, which could just be a manufacturing difference. End fittings and pull lengths are exactly the same length so adjustment is not changed or affected at all.
Q: What's the difference between "low bars spec" clutch cables and the "high bars spec" cable?
A: The length is the obvious difference. Low bar spec is approx. 1100mm (case + fitting), high bar (up bar) spec is approx. 1280mm (so -180mm overall case / fitting length for low spec). This makes a big difference when fitting lower bars as factory up bar cable is extremely long. *Also, low bar spec cables have a metal end with an approx. 35-degree bend rather than the straight cable end. As the routing is changed this bend helps with guiding the cable.
Q: Can the "low bars spec" clutch cable be used with clip on bars?
A: The length is ok for clip on bars. However, if we have clip on spec cables available, they are the first choice as they lose an extra XXmm. But if clip on spec cable is out of stock these will also work as an alternative.
Q: What brake line suits the "low bars spec" conversion?
A: The 850mm D spec line (60595) suits low bar conversions with low bar, Touring bar, UK bar and Conti bar or similar. *However, clip on bars use (#60593) 750mm D Spec line.
