GENERAL INFORMATION:

SR400/500 use: This particular line suits the factory SR400/500 (EARLY MODEL) master cylinder and caliper (as well as many other models such as the XS650). For the SR it fits all early model (78~85) with LHS front caliper. This brake line is the equivalent to -150mm (short) compared to the standard *early model SR500 brake line (when routed directly to the caliper). Line is suitable for use on early model SR400/500 using clip on bars, with LHS early caliper and early factory brake mc. If you have changed the master cyl. Check if A spec or D spec is the best fit.

W650 use: This line is approx. -100mm (short) compared to the W650 LOW BAR model, and is suitable for use with clip on bar conversions to the W650. Often also used on the W800 and W400. If used on the early model with High Bars, this line is -250mm short. As a guide, this length on the W650 is best used with clip on conversion regardless of original bar type. Can also be ok for other bars such as clubman bars, Ace bars etc. *Always check your required length before ordering.

XS650 use: if your bike has a twin disc set up, and has had a clip on bar conversion, this line typically works for the LHS (*fitted direct to the caliper). If you have converted to a single disc, this works for LHS when using a single LHS conversion (when fitted direct to the caliper). For the RHS line if using a twin disc set up see the 700 D spec line. *Always check your required length before ordering. If using twin lines a double banjo bolt may be required separately also.

Hose type: Two types of lines are available (A spec & D spec). The spec type refers to the banjo fitting angle in relation to each end. Lines are available in 50 mm increments and are set from 550 mm to 1400 mm to fit a wide range of models.

  • Type A: Banjo 21 ° & straight Banjo - (no turn, banjo faces the same direction at each end)
  • Type D: Banjo 21 ° & straight Banjo - (with a 90 ° turn compared to the other end)

Note: Always use new gaskets (washers) when fitting this line, and always ensure the banjo bolt is compatible with the line fittings. Changing any component on your brake system requires a very high level of experience and skill. This line should only be fitted by a licensed qualified mechanic in licensed workshop. The brake system will require bleeding before use, bleeding of the system should only be carried out by qualified mechanics.
