The Daytona SR400FI chromed slip-on muffler kit is suitable for café racers, custom builds or as a replacement of your old and tired muffler. The mufflers are fitted with catalyst to meet gas regs, and they are JMCA rated to pass strict Japanese noise regulations. A gain through the mid-range can be seen on the power graph (see YouTube clip below). No ECU re-setting is required, but the use of a separately purchase centre stand stopper is advisable (as the factory stop is lost when changing the muffler).
Kits comes with the muffler, bracket set and new joint gasket. Installation is easily done with basic tools. This muffler is made specifically for the SR400 and SR400FI - and tested on DAYTONA's test track and dyno to ensure it is optimized for the SR400 (FI). They are made in Japan, and the chrome plating is nicely finished to match the factory head pipe. Adds nice deep note to gain the thumper feel!

Q: Can I fit this slip-on muffler with my factory head pipe?
A: Yes, this muffler fits all FI models (injected models) built between 2010 and 2017.
Q: Can I fit this slip-on muffler with aftermarket headpipes (stainless etc.)?
A: In most cases yes, as long as the aftermarket headpipe is designed to be the same factory length and has the correct headpipe to muffler joint diameter. But keep in mind the muffler is tuned with the factory headpipe, so some minor adjustments may be required depending on the size and tune of the A/M header.

Q: Why is this muffler different to cheap options online
A: This muffler has been developed by Daytona Japan and is fully tuned and tested on their dyno. It has catalysts fitted to take care of gas regs, and noise level has been kept at a sensible (legal) level. The kit is made to be a bolt on unit (so no extra fabrication needed!). The quality far exceeds cheap mufflers, and you will enjoy long life usage from this product.
Q: The muffler is chromed; will it get rust?
A: All chromed products change over time, especially if you live or park near the salt air / water. Clean regularly and wipe down with cleaner to keep it shiny.
