Product Overview

DAYTONA HIGH SPEC BRAKE LINE STAINLESS (900mm), DOT MARKED, (TYPE: D SPEC), 60596.

The HIGH SPEC line by DAYTONA is a stainless mesh line. These Japanese-made brake lines are built to the highest standards, featuring a neoprene outer coating to resist oil, sun, and water damage, along with steel banjo end fittings for maximum strength. They are DOT marked and tested to meet and exceed FMVSS 106, JIS, and ISO safety standards.

Whether you are performing a repair, an upgrade (low expansion), or a custom build, this Daytona High Spec line ensures improved performance and durability compared to OEM and allows you to upgrade and do your conversion the right way!

DETAILS:
-> Banjo material: Steel
-> Banjo thickness: 8mm (width)
-> Inner hose layer: Teflon
-> The hose banjo fitting is crimped to guarantee sealing, safety and performance.
-> Please use with the correct size 10mm banjo bolts (OEM), or we recommend GOODRIDGE banjo bolts.
-> Made in Japan to the highest standards by Nichirin (the manufacturers of brake lines for the best-known Japanese motorcycle and automotive makes).

SR400/500 / & XS650: For early model bikes with LHS caliper, this brake line is approx. -50mm shorter compared to the standard length SR400/500 line (used on the early model with high / wide factory bars). Also use on SR400/500 fitted with bars such as the POSH Super Up Bars or mid-sized tracker bars. For repair or upgrade or use with custom builds requiring this length line. Always check your length needed to suit your bars.

*Suits the factory (Early) SR master cylinder and caliper (as it is the D type), but if you have changed master cylinders consider if the D type or A type suits best after looking at the brake line bolt on position. (always measure length to ensure suitability with your chosen bars).

W650 USE: This line is -100mm (short) when compared to the (EARLY) model (or Japan import) with factory HIGH bars. Use this line on the W650 high bar model as an upgrade or replacement when changing bars to a different spec that are lower or narrower.

When used on the later model (aka Low Bar) or imports with low bars, this line is +50mm long compared to the factory low bar brake line. Use when fitting Mid-sized Tracker, Scrambler & Custom type bars that are slightly higher and wider than the factory low bars (but not as wide as the factory up bar). Line is often used on the W800 and W400 when fitting higher and wider bars. Always check length to ensure suitability.

OTHER INFO:
Hose type:
Two types of lines are available (A spec & D spec). The spec type refers to the banjo fitting angle in relation to each end. Lines are available in 50 mm increments and are set from 600 mm to 1100 mm to fit a wide range of models.

-> Type A: Banjo 21 ° & straight Banjo - (no turn, banjo faces the same direction at each end)
-> Type D: Banjo 21 ° & straight Banjo - (with a 90 ° turn compared to the other end)

NOTE: Always use new gaskets (washers) when fitting this line and always ensure the banjo bolt is compatible with the line fittings. Changing any component on your brake system requires a very high level of experience and skill. This line should only be fitted by a licensed qualified mechanic in licensed workshop. The brake system will require bleeding before use; bleeding of the system should only be carried out by qualified mechanics.
