Product Overview

CF POSH SR400 (94~00) & SR500 (94~99) Digital CDI, 839361

The CF POSH racing CDI is made for the Yamaha SR400 (94~00) models and the Yamaha SR500 (94~99) models sold in Japan or in other parts of the world (imports). Being a digitally controlled CDI unit, it enables you to easily switch between four map settings by using the inbuilt switch, this allows for greater tuning options when setting up your bike or just set to the factory position (map 2). This is perfect for owners who are modifying their bikes or for those who simply want to fine tune the ignition or replace an old faulty CDI. You can also use this unit as an alternative or replacement for the factory CDI (which is now discontinued and very hard to obtain).

See connector plugs (in above image), typically this CDI replaces CDI units with 3GW-10 written on them (070000-2540).

- The ignition timing is controlled by a high performance 8-bit micro-computer
- Allows for advanced and delayed ignition timing, as well as a map setting equivalent to OEM
- Economical alternative compared to the now discontinued OEM CDI unit
- Usage ensures superior ignition timing that outperforms the normal OEM CDI output characteristics
- Designed for one-touch (plug & play) installation, simply remove the old CDI and plug in the new CDI coupler
- CDI is fitted with an output terminal for use with an electrical tachometer (1 pulse per revolution: 12V square wave output).

Cautions:
- The CF POSH Super Battle Professional Racing C.D.I has eliminated the rev limiter (see notes below).
- Not all electrical Tachometers will work with the output wire (see notes below).

F.A.Q:
Q: If I fit a 500cc crank to my 400cc engine, is this CDI still, ok?
A: Yes of course, and it can be better to use this unit to ensure the ignition is correctly set up, and to take advantage of your modifications.

Q: Do you sell these CDI units for different year models?
A: Yes, we sell CF POSH Digital CDI units for early (85~92 models), (93 model), (94~00 models), (01~02) model and the later (03~08) models, please select the correct unit prior to purchase.

Q: Can I use my original coil with this CDI?
A: Yes, you can as long as it's in good order. However, we recommend using the POSH racing coils, see our selection in store.

Attention:
*The RPM limiter has been removed. Please be careful not to damage your engine due to over-revving. *Please note, not all electric tachometers will work with the output wire designed for electric tachometers. Some Tachos may still need to be wired to the coil as per normal (using an interrupt wire). *This unit is for racing purposes only. *The side stand safety switch is no longer used. *Always check your bikes year model correctly to ensure this part will be compatible. Imports can at times have the incorrect year of manufacture on the paperwork, if in doubt just ask for details.
